Creative Decorating Ideas for Used Tires

While all of our locations do take your used tires, we do have ideas for how you can continue to use them even after we take them off of your vehicle! After all, why not get a few extra miles on your old tires by creating some unique art?

Tire Table

Have a few tires that need retired at once? Stack them up, use some sanded and stained plywood or 2x4s to create a tabletop, and tada! You have yourself a unique table for your backyard entertaining. Perfect to put some chips and salsa or burgers on top of - or even both. Bonus points if you paint a cool design on the sides of the tires!

Tire Sandbox

This is the perfect way to recycle your tires if you ever have little ones running around in your yard. Use some paint to create fun designs on the sides of the tire, maybe even using your child or grandchild’s name so they feel ownership. Then take a bag or two of sand (depending on the size of the tire) and fill it up! Perfect for mini bulldozers, dinosaurs, and sandcastles.

Tire Planter

A great and easy way to repurpose your used tires is to create planters. Put a few in the front yard or along the perimeter of your home to make yourself some fun mini-gardens of sunflowers, herbs, tomatoes, peppers, or more! You could even plant a smaller tree in one. The options are endless - all you need is some dirt, water, and seeds or sprouts!

Tire Swing

Finally, the classic - who doesn’t love a good tire swing? Hang it from a strong tree branch with some rope after cutting out some drainage holes and you will be good to go! You can hang it plain and black or with painted decorations, either way it will be a hit! Swing from it with a book or catch some air spinning in circles. It’s sure to be a good time for all!
